Don't Say I Never Did Anything For You is the culmination of all of the work done here to date - a genre defying stew of rhythmic melodicism. Created with no preconceived notion of how it was supposed to sound, each composition was allowed to become whatever it wanted. The result is a carefully crafted record that spans various moods and rhythms across its 6 songs, employing a wide variety of instrumentation. A giant step forward for generative music.
Jollies
A curated playlist of renderings, taking a quick trip down memory lane with acapellas from throughout the 80s. The process here was basically to use the latest Aleator version (2.2) to create “prints” based on the general harmonic structure of each song, targeting the original starting key signature and tempo. From there, we mixed and matched from the different runs, resulting in the mixes you’ll here in this chaotic 80s pop smorgasbord.
